Gay Marriages

Marriage is a basic human right and an individuals personal choice. The state should not interfere with a persons feelings towards another person. According to http://www.religioustolerance.org/hom_marr.htm it was only after the civil war that African Americans were allowed to marry in all areas of the U.S. It was also only after 1967 that mixed races were allowed to marry in The United States. America is continuing to change, and as the change occurs it will need new laws. More gay people will come out with their sexuality as time goes on and for this reason I feel that gay marriages should be allowed in all states because controversy will continue to rise, and divide Americans even more.
