Free Needle Program
The free needle program is an excellent idea and should be carried out throughout the United States. Just like plan parenthood passing our free condoms, which is encourage, the same should be for the free needle programs. Some may say that this might encourage drug abuse, but the fact is that many people are dying throughout the United States from Aids caused by needles, and if a program comes about that will help save people, I'm all for it. According to http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2004-04/08/content_321716.htm who conducted a free needle program in China, free needle programs are effective in reducing risky behavior among drug addicts and eventully in lowering the incidence of AIDS.

Hey Travis, Thanks for the link there. This assignment has generated some interesting postings. Have you read Lili's blog posting on this? I think I will collect some of the readings that have been posted because they make a compelling case for needle exchange.
